Privacy Policy
This policy explains how PicoMander handles information when the desktop application, its local features and the optional Google Contacts integration are used.
1. Controller and contact
PicoMander is a project developed by Guillermo Allasia. For questions about privacy or data use, write to soportepicomander@gmail.com.
2. Google data accessed
When the user chooses to authorize Google Contacts, PicoMander requests only the read-only permission:

Depending on the information available in each contact, the application may receive names, phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses, organizations, job titles, dates, notes and other fields saved by the user in Google Contacts.
3. Purpose of access
Contacts are displayed within the PicoMander tool so the user can search them, select one and decide which data to send to PicoMander Setup, a local module or equipment configured by the user.
The information is used only to provide this user-requested feature.
4. Actions PicoMander does not perform
- It does not request or receive the Google Account password.
- It does not create, modify or delete Google contacts.
- It does not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
- It does not use contacts to create commercial profiles.
- It does not store the address book on the developer's servers.
- It does not share Google data with third parties unless the user explicitly instructs it to send the data to a destination configured by the user.
5. Local storage
OAuth authorization may create a token on the user's computer. This token keeps the authorization active without requiring credentials to be entered again. The token is stored locally and is not sent to PicoMander servers.
Contacts may be held temporarily in the application's memory while the tool is open. PicoMander does not create a permanent copy of the address book on its servers.
6. Transmission and user-selected destinations
The application communicates with Google through official APIs and secure connections. Subsequent sending to PicoMander Setup, another local module, a PicoMander device or destination equipment occurs only when the user takes an action and according to the configuration selected by the user.
The user is responsible for checking the destination and the data before sending them.
7. Retention
PicoMander does not retain data obtained from Google Contacts on its own servers. The local token remains on the computer until the user signs out, revokes access, deletes the local file, or uninstalls the application and removes its data.
8. Revocation and deletion
The user can stop using Google Contacts from within the tool, delete the local token, or revoke PicoMander's access from the connected apps section of their Google Account.
After access is revoked, the application cannot query contacts again until the user authorizes it again.
9. Security
PicoMander uses Google's OAuth flow and does not ask the user to enter a password in the application. Users should protect their Google Account, Windows session and the computer where the local token is stored.
10. Google data use and Limited Use
PicoMander's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when PicoMander features or applicable requirements change. The date of the current version appears at the beginning of this page.
